Lyle Neely

York – Mr. Lyle Carroll Neely, 90, of 40 Ross Cannon Road, formerly of Rock Hill, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Yorktown Village.

Born in Rock Hill, he is the son of the late Walter Gill Neely and Gilly Kidd Neely. He is also the widower of the late Louise Whisonant Neely. Mr Neely was retired from Carastar of Rock Hill and was a farmer. He was also a WWII Army Veteran. He enjoyed gardening and working with his cows.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Friday, at Yorktown Village, 40 Ross Cannon Road, with Pastor Daniel Smoak officiating. The service will be with Military Honors. The family will receive friends after the service.

He is survived by a son, Donnie Neely and wife Sharon; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Gill Neely and John Thomas Neely; and a sister, Rita Neely Russell.
