Guy Mitchell Fortson Sr.

 Guy Mitchell Fortson Sr. went to be with the Lord November 20th, 2021. A long time employee of Celanese (Rock Hill, SC) and retired from Aviagen (Pageland, SC). He was a faithful member of Cornerstone Baptist Church (Rock Hill, SC). He was a proud member of The Sons of the Confederate Veterans and the Rock Hill Cruisers Organization. He loved his family. He loved serving the body of Christ. He loved to sing for Jesus. He never met a stranger.

He had an appreciation for Classic Cars & Trucks. He was always up for a discussion on the War of Northern Aggression. He was the Patriarch of his family-and never wavered on fulfilling his duty. He loved his friends and family. He always stood for truth and justice.

Preceded in death by his sister, Angie Fortson Creech, his grandson Matthew Thomas Woelffer, and his daughter Kim Fortson Dobbins. Survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Wanda Fortson; his children, Melissa Fortson Woelffer (Indian Land, SC) and Guy Mitchell Fortson and wife, Amber of Dubai UAE and his son in law Jeff Dobbins (Pacolet, SC). PawPaw Fortson loved each of his grandchildren- Brenton Fortson, Logan Roman and husband, Josh, Bethany Turner and husband, Kasey, Maggie Woelffer, Danyell Dobbins, Gracie Woelffer, Jaxen Fortson and Casen Fortson. He was blessed even more with Great Grandchildren- James Turner, Chance Turner, Josiah Roman, Sawyer Roman, Sara Ann Turner and Isaac Roman. He deeply loved his mom, Vallie Fortson. He loved his sister, Deborah Whiteside and her husband Michael. His nieces and nephews held a special place in heart. He loved all of his family and set an example of a faithful servant.
