Marilynn Diana Joachim

We are sad to announce the passing of Marilynn Diana Joachim of Tega Cay, SC on December 1,2022. Marilynn was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully.

Marilynn was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend. She was brought into this world on January 15, 1943, by Theodore and Sophie Stawick. After graduating from Michigan State University, Marilynn dedicated her life to the pursuit of knowledge in the field of education. After retiring, Marilynn enjoyed time with family and friends. She enjoyed the arts, reading a good mystery novel, exploring new culinary venues, and loved to travel.  

Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Sophie Stawick; brother Ted Stawick; nephew Thaddeus Stawick, and husband Joseph Joachim.

Marilynn will be greatly missed by her beloved family. She is survived by her three children, Kimberly Rudzki and her husband Steve, of Westland MI, Wesley Brockman and his wife Debra of Winter Garden, FL, and Linlee Markle and her husband Kevin, of Tega Cay, SC. She was a proud grandma of five grandchildren, Katlyn, Jacob and Stevie Rudzki and Owen and Quinn Markle.  She is also survived by her brother Dr.  Laurence Stawick and his wife Paula of Beverly Hills, MI, niece Michelle Stawick of Holly, MI, and Steven Stawick and wife Erica of Charlotte, NC as well as many other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16th, at Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church (292 Munn Road E, Fort Mill, SC 29715).

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Marilynn's name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
