Pamela Louise Cross

Pamela Drye-Cross (Maia), 81, Passed away Jun 19, 2022, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born September 16, 1940, in Huntington West Virginia, daughter of George and Marguerite Drye.

Pam Graduated from Barboursville High School, class of 1958. After raising her five children, her love for assisting others led her to pursue a career in nursing. She was passionate in her work as director of assisted living facilities and loved her patients and their families. She had a special fondness for Alzheimer’s patients. Her love for life and dedication as a mother truly knew no bounds. Pam was loved by many and never met a stranger In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by daughter Dr. Sandra Maia-Cohen. Surviving in addition to her husband, Thomas Cross, are her children, Ana Maia, Angela Maia-Petrusick, Laura Maia, and Thomas Maia. Eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. 

A celebration of life will be held 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, 700 Heckle Blvd Rock Hill, SC. In lieu of flowers, Those who wish to remember Pamela in a special way may donate to the American Cancer Society.
