Theodore Alexander Sims, Jr.

Fort Mill – Rev. Theodore Alexander Sims, Jr., 92, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 11, 2020.

A native of Winnsboro, SC Rev. Sims was a son of the late Theodore Alexander Sims, Sr. and Mary Hicks Sims.  As a young man Rev. Sims was a member of the Boy Scouts of America where he had the distinct honor of becoming an Eagle Scout.  Rev. Sims served as the pastor of the following churches:  White Pond Baptist Church, Mount Ebal Baptist Church, Oolenoy Baptist Church, Mount Olive Baptist Church, Rutherford College Baptist Church and Westerly Hills Baptist Church.  For 13 years he was the Catawba River Associational Royal Ambassador Director in Morganton, NC. 

Rev. Sims is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Whitaker Sims of the home; a son, Terry Len Sims of Fort Mill; and a sister, Mary Ann Shafer of Easley, SC.
